Welcome to the University of Florida Department of ObGyn, Section of Urogynecology. Our partnership between UF and Shands Teaching Hospital has resulted in the ability to provide world-class medical and surgical care to the patients in our local community, as well as those who come to us from a distance. Our specially-trained experts in vaginal, laparoscopic and robotic surgery are continually enhancing the quality of care, and are dedicated to patient-centered performance.

Our urogynecology team is made up of highly trained urogynecologists, pelvic surgeons, gynecologists and nurses, all experienced in the diagnosis and management of female pelvic floor disorders. Perhaps our most unique asset is our participation in the University of Florida Pelvic Floor Program (UFPF) in which we collaborate with a variety of pelvic floor experts in colorectal surgery, gastroenterology, urology, physical therapy, nutrition and nursing. Led by the UFPF nurses and coordinators, we schedule combined visits and surgical procedures to optimize safety, efficiency and patient satisfaction.
