Prepregnancy Counseling Program
Women with medical or genetic problems, or a poor obstetric history, are referred to the Prepregnancy Counseling Program. After a complete review of the patient's medical records and analysis of pertinent literature, the patient is interviewed and evaluated. Diagnostic tests are performed to define the program by a team of specialists. A plan of management before and during pregnancy is provided to the patient and her referring physician. Should the patient decide to attempt pregnancy, she can be followed by the perinatalogists here, or in coordination with her personal physician.
